Come and visit the beautiful countryside of the Land O'Lakes, stay at the Swiss Inn with one of our Package Tours and enjoy your biking tour adventure. Using the Swiss Inn as your home base you will be in the centre of one of the best bike road networks in Ontario. Less travelled, well maintained hilly roads with countless esses, sweepers and tight bends, wind through the magnificent scenery, inviting you to experiance them.
Upon arrival, enjoy a delicious dinner chosen from the restaurant's entrée menu. Spend the night in your clean, comfortably appointed room. The next morning enjoy a hearty breakfast before setting out for a day of scenery and adventure as you discover the magnificent wilderness with one of our Driving Tour Packages or plain old self exploration.
 
 
We have pre-scouted routes that will maximize the enjoyment of your approach to the Swiss Inn, from the directions of Toronto, Kingston and Ottawa.
  
 
From Toronto  
  • Make your way to Barrie
  • Take Hwy 11 to Orillia and connect with Hwy 45
  • Wind your way East along Hwy 45 through Kinmount, where it becomes Hwy 503
  • Hwy 503 ends at an intersection in a town called Paudash.
  • Turn left (North) here, onto Hwy 28
  • Hwy 28 will lead you through the beautiful town of Bancroft then on to Hardwood lake where you will have to take a right to say on 28, which will bring you to the Swiss Inn as 28 meets Hwy 41
  • This last strech will be the most exciting, but care must be taken as these are very serious curves and lots of them.
 
 
From Kingston  
  • Take Hwy 10 to Westport, then Hwy 36 to Maberly for an exciting start to your tour
  • A short jaunt West on Hwy 7, past Sharbot Lake will lead you to Hwy 509 - Snow Road. Take a right
  • This road will take you on a winding scenic tour through old settlement country, past Ompah and on to Plevna
  • From Plevna take a right onto Buckshot Lake Rd. which will bring you on to Vennachar Junction
  • A right on Hwy 41 and a few kilometres will bring you to the Swiss Inn

 
 
From Ottawa  

  • Make your way to North Gower
  • Connect with Hwy 5 and follow it though Kemptville as it turns into Hwy 2, and on to Smiths Falls
  • Hwy 43 will bring you to Perth where you can hook up with Hwy 511 for the scenic trip to Calabogie
  • Once in Calabogie take a left on Hwy 508 and follow it to a right on Hwy 65 - Black Donald Road
  • If you come upon a magnificent power station as the road ends, you've missed your turn, but not by much, and this detour is well worth it
  • O.K. you are back at the start of Black Donald Road - the most amazing bike road you are likely to experience anywhere, anytime - take extreme care
  • The road ends in Camel Chute, but not the excitment; a left at this point will send you sweeping though old settlement country all the way to the 41 Hwy at Vennachar Junction
  • A right on 41 and a few kilometers will bring you to the Swiss Inn
